Review - Bebe au Lait

Featuring:

As all breastfeeding mom's know, babies don't care where you are or who you are with when they want to nurse...It doesn't matter to them if you are at home spending time with family, at a crowded resturaunt with friends or at church. As mom's we also know that that is ok! Babies don't need to care, they just need to grow:)

When my older son was a baby...He would want to nurse and no matter where we were I would have to excuse my self and find a room, chair or whatever where no one could see me nursing. If I did stay in the room, it would be with my mom or my close friend Sharon...even then I would cover with a blanket. As you can imagine, I would get back from nursing and feel totally lost in what was going on and very left out. I began to hate going to friends and families homes because of this. It really sucked...as I am sure many of you know.

Along came the twins...:) I was ready to make sure this would never happen! I asked around to the very few Nursing Mama's of twins if they had any suggestions for nursing covers! 100% of the time I heard this " Hands down, Bebe au Lait or Hooder Hider"

What I think...
I recieved a Babe au Lait in Ascot for my review and I love it!
Having nursing twins you can imagine how excited I am to be doing a review on Bebe au Lait! I can't say enough about this cover! It is great for every possible situation you can think up! Sitting on the couch with friends...covered, Hanging out at a resturaunt with family...covered, Babywearing while shopping...covered! It is light enough to not bother my little ones but thick enough to keep them warm if it is a little chilly out! It even folds up and fit perfect in my ERGObaby carrier front pocket. The twins are both fully covered by the Bebe au Lait and they actually like it! Since they are a little older they like to pretend it is a tent, and honestly they play together under it when they are supposed to be nursing:) The Bebe au Lait is a fantastic size, it easily cover both babies.
Our family spends a lot if time in our Living room...that has floor to ceiling windows, that faces the street. Our street is by no means busy, but there are houses across the street. During the day I don't always want to leave the room when the twins are ready for nap time. Sometimes Elias and I are doing school or watching a movie. With the Bebe au Lait I can sit on the couch and nurse the babies while still playing with Elias. The Bebe au Lait truly is a win win in my book!

About Bebe au Lait and Hooter Hinder.
From: Bebe au Lait
Established in 2004 and initially known as "Hooter Hiders," Los Gatos, California-based Bebe au Lait develops superior-quality products that pair beautiful prints with luxurious fabrics to meet the needs of modern, active parents.
Bebe au Lait's first and best known product, its award-winning nursing cover, was born out of necessity when co-owner Claire Ekelund found nursing her infant daughter in public challenging. The nursing cover's unique design with its rigid neckline that promotes bonding between mother and child has been the recipient of multiple patents.
The Hooter Hider garnered immediate attention from stylish moms and celebrities across the nation, and in media such as US Weekly, People, Fit Pregnancy and VanityFair.com.

Closing thoughts...
Are you sick of leaving the room and missing out? The Bebe au Lait is perfect for you! I will happily recommend the Bebe au Lait to every nursing mother I know! It folds up very small so it is very easy to take anywhere. The Bebe au Lait would make a perfect Christmas Gift or Baby Shower gift!! Yes! I am still Breastfeeding

I'm a breastfeeding mama of Twins and proud of it!!

There I was, visiting with a friend I hadn't seen in a while. While chatting on the couch one of the twins came up very sleepy, ready for a nap and wanted to nurse. I paused our conversation to grab a cover and get my little one situated. When I looked back up, my friend was wide eyed staring at me. I had seen that look before...the "Oh My Gosh she is STILL breastfeeding" I'm used to it, I was still breastfeeding Elias until after age 3. So, that look and me aren't exactly strangers. "What" I asked. She just looked at me a moment longer and choked out "You are Still breastfeeding?" I wanted to say "CLEARLY"...but I didn't;) I calmly responded "Yep I sure am" Thinking this conversation was over, I jumped back into what we had been talking about...only to be interrupted by this little gem "Do you breastfeeding both of them or just one?" Ok little side note: You might be surprised how often I get asked this question, and I ALWAYS respond with a smile "yes I breastfeed both of my twins" Even though on the inside I'm thinking...'Yeah, why would I only breastfeed one, that is ridiculous that you would even ask such a stupid question'. Back to my friend. I responded "yes I do, blah, blah, blah" I could see her getting more uncomfortable with every word. VERY quickly after I was done talking, wouldn't you know that she suddenly remember she was 'late' for 'something'. Hmm...really?!

Why is it so hard for 'OTHERS' that we breastfeed? This is very troubling to me. A mom can send her 12 year old daughter to school in a outfit that is shocking: no one says a word -a child can be heard yelling and cussing at their parent in the store: no on says a word- But WE quietly cover, or sneak away, words are spoken to us, and lots of them...not always nice either. Celebrities without children are openly giving there negative opinion. Because of this women who breastfeed feel like they aren't allowed to nursing in public, and if they do they had better be out of site or covered with a black fleece blanket from head to toe. I can just imagine the out burst said celeb would have had if she saw me tandem nursing my twin babies. I ask it again, why is this so true in our society? I don't have a answer. I have my opinions...People seem to want to have a opinion because they don't have control of their lives or because they are unhappy, maybe they are uncomfortable about breastfeeding in general...I don't know it could be so many different things. All I know is that I refuse to let ANYONE make me feel like I am doing something wrong because I have made the choice to breastfeed MY children. I love my children, I want to breastfeed and frankly if 'sally next door' is bothered by that, then she has a problem of her own. I will stand my ground and I hope you do too! I hate talking to a young mom who says she really wanted to breastfeed, but she didn't have any support. Us nursing mom's need to stick together and share our stories and tips with other mom's especially new 1st time mama's. So here's a challenge: We all have a friend, who is breastfeeding her baby or young child, right. She might be searching for someone to talk to...Toss a little encouragement her way!! Tell her that you are there for her. You will be thrilled with how it makes her feel and how it makes you feel. I know, because I did this recently with a women who goes to my church, it was so wonderful to see her sad face turn to joy! She later told me that she was about ready to give up, and was so happy I spoke up!

Be Happy Breastfeeding - I know I am and that's what matters!

Undercover Mama REVIEW

UNDERCOVER MAMA REVIEW!!!

Are you a Undercover Mama?? If you are not, you will want to be!!

I was so excited to be able to test one of these amazing undershirts!!

Undercover Mama is a strapless undershirt that hooks to your favorite nursing bra, thus making any nursing bra a nursing tank!! The Undercover Mama is awesome it made nursing the twins amazingly quick and easy! At church no one even knew I was nursing. It's slim fitting style made layering shirts a breeze. The Undercover Mama is so trim, there is no bunching or rolling, it was as if I didn't even have it on. The long length is fantastic! I didn't have to worry about bending over in public! It kept everything covered!

The Undercover Mama is easier than you might think! Simply pull the shirt on like you would any other tank or undershirt. Since there are not any straps, all you do is make sure the shirt is straight and simple slide the hook that is attached to the Undercover Mama right below the nursing snap on your bra. (Most bras have a little fold of fabric that the hook slides into perfectly) Now you are ready to go!

Watch a Undercover Mama video!

When I first put on my new Black Undercover Mama, I was thrilled with the fit! It is so slim fitting, not bulky at all! The fabric is wonderful, soft and sturdy!! I looked in the mirror and I could believe it but I actually felt pretty in something that was made for nursing!! I love that I can hook the Undercover Mama to any of my nursing bras, throw on a sweater and go! The Undercover Mama looks like your favorite tank, but has the hidden bonus of being your favorite nursing bra as well.

From Undercover Mama:

Most moms can't wait to return to their regular wardrobe after having a baby. However, trying to nurse in a regular shirt can be awkward and more revealing than a new mom likes.

With Undercover Mama, you can keep your back, sides and belly covered while nursing in your regular clothes! Just attach it to the flap of your favorite nursing bra and wear your regular shirts over top. You will look and feel like you are wearing a regular cami! The generous length allows you to tuck it in or go for a layered look. The black color adds a natural slimming effect!

The Undercover Mama is my new favorite item in my closet. For the last week it is all I have worn. So, I have washed it quite a few times. Each time I amazed. No piling, fading, it has maintained it shape better than any tank both nursing and non-nursing I have ever owned.

My advice to you....GET A UNDERCOVER MAMA TODAY!!

Review - BabyBond Nursing Sash

Featuring:

BabyBond™ nursing accessories cover mom, not her baby. Mom is able to maintain her modesty. Baby remains uncovered benefiting from the infinite opportunity to make eye contact, interact, and communicate. After all, dining is social.
BabyBond™ iParenting Award winning patented designs are products of Slurp & Burp, LLC.

Photo taken after a long HOT day! Everyone was ready for bed!

As a breastfeeding mom of twins I don't have any qualms about breastfeeding in public. I hate being totally exposed, but at the same time I hate being totally covered and so do my babies. When we are out I wear a nursing tank under a shirt, lift the shirt, and there you go. So nothing shows. I especially don't like to cover up when it is hot out, the babies HATE it and I hate it. Plus I think it brings more attention.

When I opened the Baby Bond Flex I was thrilled with how light and airy it was! It's a really thin but sturdy fabric, which is wonderful when you are breastfeeding two babies in hot weather!

The morning I got my Baby Bond in the mail, I had just got home from an outside play date for my older son and the babies were less than happy with how hot it was, they were tired, and very hungry. I ripped open the package, quickly read how to use it, put it on, and sat on my couch -that faces floor to ceiling windows!! The twins were both nursing with it and it really did a great job. I wasn't worried about passers by looking in and seeing me all exposed.
The instructions are on a tag on the wrap, so if you forget and you're out with a screaming hungry baby or in my case babies, it is easy to refresh your memory on how to use it. It's so thin and light & rolls up tiny to fit in your diaper bag!

I was given a Baby Bond nursing cover to review and keep. I was not compensated for this review. These are my personal opinions and they are honest.

Missy at Baby Bond sent me a Flex Baby Bond

in a beautiful Chocolate Brown.

There are 3 different types, the Original, Flex, and Couture.

BabyBond Original™ is worn like a sash, functioning like a nursing top. Nurse from the top of your shirt. Separate the layers of fabric to achieve latch on. Double panel keeps breast covered above & below. Belly & back remain covered with your own shirt. Built-in 9 x 12″ double layer terry velour burp cloth. Stores in matching pouch.

BabyBond Flex™ is worn like a sash, functioning like a nursing top. Nurse from the top of your shirt. Separate the layers of fabric to achieve latch on. Double panel keeps breast covered above & below. Belly & back remain covered with your own shirt. Removable 9 x 12″ double layer terry velour burp cloth. Able to attach any cloth or wear without cloth attached. Stores in matching pouch.

BabyBond Couture™ is adjustable creating a custom fit as your body changes after baby arrives. A hybrid between nursing top and belly band, it can be worn to nurse from the top or the bottom of your shirt so it works with your entire wardrobe. When worn like a sash, it functions like a nursing top. When worn like a belt, it functions like a belly band. Rolls up into self-storing pouch.
