And Im back...
Towards the end of last year I decided to step back and take a break from blogging and focus on family. I also wanted to evaluate the direction i felt my blog was going. In 2011 I started feeling like I was becoming some that I wasn't me. I feel like I need to brake away from what ALSNS was in 2010-2011 and focus on what is really important to me...not what I think everyone else will find interesting!
Today is feb. 1st and I have decided that I am back!!! I have plans for some fun posts over the next few weeks!! We are slowly but surely potty training the twins so I have a lot to share about that!! Potty training two is WAY different than potty training one let me tell you! :) Although it is just feb. I am so looking forward to spring and summer! The kids love being outside and like I have mentioned before we are a very outdoorsy family...and this rainy winter we are having really isn't fun:( I'm turning 30 in a few weeks and unlike most of my sisters I am really excited!!! I am so ready to be done with the 20s!! With Valentine's Day just around the corner we have been doing all kinds of crafts that I plan to share with you next week!!
I'm really excited to be back! I have missed this so much!! Over the next few day you will notice some changes about the look of ALSNS...with a new year and a new mindset there needs to be a change!!! Lookout for lots of crafts tons about homeschooling my little man!! Tot school! Sewing, pinterest, and what the Lord is doing in my life, my marriage, and my parenting!!! oh and my new love...my iPad...which has become a essential in our homeschooling! I have TONS of awesome FREE apps to share with you!
I hope you all have a wonderful Feb. 1st!!

Book Review - The Accidental Bride
By: Denise Hunter
I LOVED this book! In The Accidental Bride, Denise Hunter sets up an funny impossible to pull off situation - a young couple who planned elope as teens, now find themselves married through a fake ceremony.
I kept waiting to see how she would pull it off - she did a amazing job!! Shay can't stand the thought that her neighbors are watching her to see her with another man that might leave her. Travis just wants a do-over of the past tired of living with his regrets, for all these years he has been madly in love with her and wants to show her how sorry he truly is. The valid marriage license seems to be the ticket to make Shay give him a chance. She needs money to save her ranch and he needs time to prove his love is real.
Fun from start to finish! Wonderful characters, I connected and loved them all - to be honest I hope Denise Hunter - write a sequal!
The setting makes it a cowboy tale with a twist. A very enjoyable read -- just what I've come to expect from Denise Hunter. A contemporary romance that leaves me with a smile.

The Lucado Inspirational Reader by: Max Lucado {Book Review}
I received this complimentary copy from the BookSneeze review program. I love Max Lucado…always have! Over many years my mother has accumulated almost all of his books, many I have read! While visiting her home with my family I told her that I would love to take all the Max Lucado books and read them! I am a fairly quick reader, but there is no way that I would be able to read all these wonderful books…then came The Lucado Inspirational Reader!! It is a wonderful book!! This collection is fantastic for busy moms that may only have a few free minutes each day. As a mom of 3, I am constantly going. I rarely sit down!! But no matter where I am, I can pick up this reader and get a short & encouraging word within 5 minutes or less.
The other night I was unable to sleep. I was kept awake with thoughts of a dear friend who was having surgery the next morning. I knew my friend was afraid, although the surgery was going to be routine other health concerns posed a issue thus putting my friend at high risk. I wanted to send some kind of encouraging words, knowing that although last my friends was for sure still awake. I decided to read the section “Encouragement” I was in tears within 5 minutes. I picked up the book to find the right thing to say to my friend {which I did} but the Lord had more planned! I was given the encouragement that I needed. I had be struggling emotional that night and the Lord spoke to me through Max and showed me that HE is always there no matter where, no matter when! Including the section of encouragement there are 27 different sections. You can read this book from front to back or you can read the section that you are personally needing at that time. Either way you will be blessed and encouraged!
With Christmas coming so quickly, this would make an awesome gift!!
I highly recommend it to anyone especially to busy moms like me who do not think they have time to read. I love the size of this book, it easily fits in my purse!
*I was given a copy of this book to review from the publisher for free in return for a honest review! This review is my own opinion.
