This is Me!!

Do you work or stay at home? If work what do you do?
I'm a SAHM! However, My husband and I have a Photography Business & I make and sell hair accessories!

What is your favorite thing to do with your kids?

Oh my, Just about anything, Playing at the park, playing baseball, watching their favorite shows...the list goes on & on! Just being with them makes my day!!!

What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?

I was born in Texas, raised in Kansas & I am the youngest of 9 kids, my siblings are 21. 18, 16, 14, 10, 7, 6, & 4 years older!

What is the most annoying question you have been asked
about your twins?

Ugh..If they are IVF. If they are twins or just close in age are the top ones.

Do you have insecurities about being a mom?

Sometimes, I am homeschooling and sometimes that fear of "can I really do this"...But then my son does something that makes me KNOW that I can!!

What do you do when you get overwhelmed?

Talk and Cry to my fantastic husband, who is a great listener!

What books, or other resources helped you in raising your
twins?

Books...none, I felt they are we so focused on women who were older have twins and IVF twin. My sister and Cousin both have twins, and I joined a mom's of multiples group!

What's been the most challenging time in your life?

There have some hard times...I guess the last few years, not because of my husband or kids, but because of others who wanted to tear our life apart and didn't care who was hurt in the process.

What is your favorite comfort food?

Mexican & anything Chocolate!

What is your self admitted most annoying habit?

What would a perfect day look like?
Waking up at 8am & spending the entire day with my hubby and kiddos outside just playing and having fun as a family...maybe throw a Seahawks game in there!!

Blessed Assurance

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! O what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, born of his Spirit, washed in his blood.

This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long; this is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long.

Perfect submission, perfect delight, visions of rapture now burst on my sight; angels descending bring from above echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long; this is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long.

Perfect submission, all is at rest; I in my Savior am happy and blest, watching and waiting, looking above, filled with his goodness, lost in his love.

This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long; this is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long.

Spring Cleaning

It's finally time for some spring cleaning! Our house could use it too, winter, three kids, and a dog...Yeah, we need this!

I don't know about you, but reading the labels on cleaning products scares me...What if one of the kids gets into it? Not a risk I am willing to take. We have been using & making natural, organic, and homemade cleaners. I really like to make them and create new smells and new combinations! Here are a few of my everyday ones :

All Purpose Cleaner

1/2 teaspoon washing soda

2 teaspoons borax

2 cups hot waterCombine all the ingredients and the water into a spray bottle.

Shake well. The washing soda makes this formula a great grease cutter.

Window Cleaner

2 cups water

1/2 cup vinegar

Combine in a spray bottle.

Homemade Floor Cleaner

1 cup white vinegar

1 gallon warm water

5-10 drops tea tree oil (disinfectant is a must with babies)

Mix in your cleaning bucket and use this to clean vinyl type floors. I like to make a large batch of my favorite household cleaner. I make this in a gallon size container and fill spray bottles as I need it.

All-Purpose Cleaner

2T vinegar

1 t BoraxHot water

10 drops of essential oil, optional

In a 16 spray bottle put vinegar, borax and hot water. Swish around until borax has dissolved. Add the drops of dish detergent and fill the rest of the bottle with water. Add the essential oil (I like using tea tree oil or lavender).

Toilet Bowl cleaner

1 Cup Baking Soda1 Cup Vinegar

Add in toilet bowl, allow it to fizz and leave for about a hour, then scrub and flush.

For extra soiled bowls add ½ cup washing soda.

Laundry Soap

2 cups Bar soap (grated) I love to use lavender natural soap, it smells fantastic! Use what you love!
2 cups Borax
2 cups Washing Soda

2 cups Baking Soda

Add finely grated bar soap to the boiling water and stir until soap is melted. You can keep on low heat until soap is melted.

Pour the soap water into a large, clean pail and add the Borax, Baking Soda and Washing Soda. Stir well until all is dissolved.

Add 2 gallons of water, stir until well mixed.

Cover pail and use 1/4 cup for each load of laundry. Stir the soap each time you use it! It will gel up. Also adding a cup of vinegar acts as a fantastic fabric softener!

Laundry Soap-Great for cloth diapers

Hot cycle
1 cup Washing Soda
1/2 cup Borax
1/2 cup baking Soda

1 cup vinegar

1-5 drops tea tree oil (optional)

Add while washer is filling with hot water.

My dipes come out smelling fresh and new every time, no matter how soiled they are, with no fading!!

I have also been adding extra freshness with Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Geraniumwhich does No Animal Testing & that‘s a big deal to us! It makes my house smell like a big fresh rose garden...It is fabulous!

Happy spring Cleaning!!
